Coming in 2021 - Another Book…!

I imagine most authors start to think about what to write next after completing a book. I have had this on my mind since I published Declarative Language Handbook in March. Some people have asked me for an activity book, or a workbook that provides handouts with the concepts in bite-size chunks for clinicians and parents to share easily with others. I love these ideas and am invested in creating these materials at some point.

But I have another important topic to write about.

I have more to teach at the ground level which will only make these other materials richer. Declarative language has an important partner called 𝐜𝐨-𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

When helping kids with social learning differences feel competent, connected, and understood, declarative language, along with a deep understanding of co-regulation, are THE most important tools in my toolbox.

𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (or RDI) taught me about both declarative language and co-regulation. I use these concepts together constantly. Each makes the other better, and they guide 𝑎𝑙𝑙 that I do.

I can’t wait to teach you more in 𝐂𝐨-𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤, coming out early 2021!
